Purpose of the Visit

The Shinsung team were invited to Airmid Healthgroup by CEO Dr. John Ryan to explore potential opportunities for collaboration. Our technical teams identified several areas of mutual interest where Airmid’s accredited testing expertise could support Shinsung’s cleanroom and air system technologies.

Key discussion topics included:

  • Airflow and particle visualisation tests – potential collaboration on advanced testing methodologies.

  • Gas analysis equipment – approaches to measuring volatile compounds in controlled environments.

  • System validation – opportunities for Airmid to test and validate Shinsung cleanroom and air systems, particularly for microbial and pathogen control.

  • Post-installation services – support for ongoing monitoring and periodic re-certification of cleanroom and air systems.

  • Market expansion – leveraging Airmid’s ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation to help Shinsung access regulated markets while enabling Airmid to broaden its client base and data resources.

Areas of Particular Interest

The discussions highlighted Shinsung’s focus on managing VOCs in their manufacturing facilities, as well as their interest in understanding how best to test both VOCs and particles emitted during the manufacture, installation, and post-assembly phases of cleanroom panels and systems.

Opportunities for Future Collaboration with Shinsung E &G

One promising area identified was the potential for Airmid to test Shinsung cleanroom panels, which are manufactured using glass wool. With Airmid’s prior experience in testing and certifying glass wool products for Knauf, this represents a strong opportunity for partnership.

The visit concluded with a lab tour, where the Shinsung delegation viewed Airmid’s aerobiology chambers, environmental testing systems, and validation equipment, providing them with insight into how scientific testing underpins the delivery of healthier indoor environments.

We look forward to further discussions with Shinsung E&G and Enterprise Ireland to develop this exciting collaboration.
