Airmid Health Group Limited is a rapidly expanding contract testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) laboratory company based in Dublin. Our focus is upon the concept of indoor health and how products may beneficially impact by reducing exposures to microorganisms (e.g. viruses, bacteria, molds), gases, volatile organic chemicals, toxins, and allergens.
“State of the Art” laboratories combined with multiple climate-controlled chambers allow Airmid offer its clients a unique service. These clients vary from multinationals to start-ups and include manufacturers of a large number of household brands. We provide the data which allows them to develop and market their products. The Airmid Brand is increasingly recognised by consumers and is sought by manufacturers as a trusted data source.
We currently have the following positions available within our team. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their career with a fast-growing company and work at the cutting edge of indoor environmental science. Office Manager
The successful candidate will be responsible for the core administration functions of Airmid including procurement/ordering, financial administration, limited reception duties, arranging staff travel, and office management. The position will report to the General Manager and work closely with the CFO in the area of financial administration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial administration including;
- Petty cash
- Supplier reconciliations
- Credit card payments
- Managing timesheets produced by staff members
- Management of purchasing for airmid, including;
- Ordering
- Liaising with suppliers, including obtaining alternative quotes where relevant
- Raising POs
- Matching, coding and signing off invoices
- Interacting with couriers and customs where required
- Answering and directing telephone calls
- Managing incoming mail (email & post)
- Supporting the sales function
- Administration of annual leave
- Managing international travel as required
- Organising occasional office/company events
- Complying with the company’s documented policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Proven experience (minimum two years) in a similar role
- Strong administrative abilities and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Basic bookkeeping skills would be an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience of using graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator and data management systems would be advantageous.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Laboratory Technician
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to work in a diverse testing facility with shared responsibilities in both the environmental test chambers and the analytical laboratories. Some of these responsibilities include:
- Operation and maintenance of environmental test chambers, sampling and environmental monitoring equipment.
- Liaising with clients on sample submission, testing timelines, test results, and other project management items as required.
- Product testing will routinely include microbiological (bacteria, mould and viruses) & allergen analysis using a variety of techniques such as TVCs and ELISAs.
- Accurate completion of necessary documentation for all tests carried out.
- Planning and performing multiple procedures across a variety of client projects.
- Producing reports.
- Reagent preparation, cleaning, and routine equipment maintenance.
- Critical thinking to help resolve technical issues.
- Maintenance of high standards of safety and housekeeping in the laboratories.
- Actively support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 17025: 2017 requirements.
- Participate in the generation and update of SOPs and forms within the controlled documentation system.
- Complying with the company’s documented policies and procedures.
- Identifying potential nonconformities, improvements, risks and opportunities in the Quality Management System and informing the Quality Manager.

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

- Experience in microbiology and aseptic technique is essential.
- Experience with maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- High level of attention to detail in following procedures.
- Proven ability to recognise problems with equipment, methods, procedures and resolve the issues in a positive and proactive manner.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and as part of a team with flexibility to react to changing business needs
- Proven problem solving, project management, time management and organisational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Scientific Officer (Cell Culture & Virology)
We are seeking a Scientific Officer to join our Virology/Cell Culture team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career with a fast-growing company that has a strong culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Testing will routinely include adherent mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays, virus propagation, plaque assay and TCID50. Other testing may include techniques such as PCR and ELISA.
- Liaising with clients on sample submission, testing timelines, test results, and other project management items as required.
- Accurate completion of necessary documentation for all tests carried out.
- Planning and performing multiple procedures across a variety of client projects.
- Producing reports.
- Reagent preparation, cleaning, and routine equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess
- a master’s degree in a discipline such as cell biology/microbiology or a related field. Industrial experience would be advantageous.
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as cell biology/microbiology/biochemistry (or a related field) PLUS 2 year’s experience in industry carrying out adherent mammalian cell culture will be considered.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in adherent mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique is essential.
- Experience with maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- High level of attention to detail in following procedures.
- Proven ability to recognise problems with equipment, methods, procedures and resolve the issues in a positive and proactive manner.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and as part of a team with flexibility to react to changing business needs
- Proven problem solving, project management, time management and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present to various audience levels.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with qPCR would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and experience of working in a regulated environment, such as to the ISO 17025:2017 standard, is desirable.
