On Tuesday, September 3rd, airmid was delighted to host a group of IRDG (Industry Research & Development Group) members for a special site visit. The event was part of IRDG’s innovation and learning network, where member companies open their doors to showcase their innovative practices, fostering a spirit of collaboration and shared learning across industries. For airmid, a pioneer in indoor air quality (IAQ) research, testing and biomedical innovation, this was a unique opportunity to demonstrate and our cutting-edge capabilities in aerobiology and the role we play in advancing global health.

The day kicked off with a warm welcome from airmid’s Dr. John Ryan and Dr. John McKeon, followed by an introduction from IRDG Chair Dermot Casey. This opening set the tone for an engaging session, where visitors had the chance to connect with like-minded professionals, spark new ideas, and take inspiration from airmid’s groundbreaking work.
The site visit included a hands-on innovation session, where airmid’s innovation leaders shared insights into our unique approach to research and testing. Our allergen, microbiological, and virus laboratories, along with advanced environmental testing chambers, position airmid as a global leader in indoor air quality research and enable us to assist major manufacturers like Alstom, Dyson, and Novaerus in the development and testing of their products.
By providing a firsthand experience of our labs, we demonstrated how airmid plays a crucial role in creating solutions that have a real impact on health worldwide.
