Dr. John Ryan iAIR Labs

During his career, John has held various executive roles including Chief Operating Officer, Commercial Director, Director of Services and Strategy.

His commercial skills include managing Sales and Marketing functions and driving new business development; the diversification of product and service offerings; the oversight of major contracts; working in a regulated industry; management of external regulatory body relationships and development of new markets.

John has worked as a business advisor to both private sector and public sector clients in areas such as business development, strategy and governance.

He has also acted as an advisor to internal and external investors (e.g. VC funds) in due diligence and business appraisal assignments. He has experience in Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, S. Africa, Saudi Arabia and with both private (SME to multinational) and public sector clients.

He is an experienced non-executive director and Chairman, both in the commercial and not for profit sectors.

He was a non-executive director (NED) of the Irish business representative group, ISME, for over 10 years during which time he served as Vice-Chairman and Chairman and contributed to various pan European business committees.

A Ministerial appointment to the Irish Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation’s inaugural Small Business Forum (2011) he participated in the development of the Irish Government’s first Action Plan for Jobs (published 2012) under the auspices of the Ethics in Public Service principles.
