Assesses the relative resistance of fungistatic treatments on plastics.
The better the treatment the less fungi will be able to grow on the surfaces of interest.
A combination or any one of the following are overlaid in a top agar layer on the specimen of interest.
1. Aspergillus niger
2. Chaetomium globsolum
3. Paecilomyces variotii
4. Penicillium funiculsolum
5. Trichoderma longibrachiatum
The relative presence or absence of inhibition is recorded after a period of 21 days
