Airmid Healthgroup is proud to join Brown University’s Clean Indoor Air Coalition in endorsing policy solutions that promote healthier indoor environments.

In support of a shared commitment to improving public health through better indoor environments, Airmid Healthgroup is proud to have endorsed the new Cleaner Indoor Air: Federal and State Policy Opportunities for Improving the Health of Americans report. This important document was released by the Brown University School of Public Health’s Pandemic Center in partnership with the Texas A&M Biosecurity and Pandemic Policy Center.

The policy brief lays out critical federal and state-level strategies to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) in homes, workplaces, schools, and public buildings across the U.S., a key step in reducing airborne disease transmission and supporting respiratory health.

Part of a Growing Coalition

The final report is now endorsed by a diverse coalition of 23 leading organizations from across science, health, design, standards, and technology, including:

  • Brown University School of Public Health

  • Texas A&M Biosecurity and Pandemic Policy Center

  • ASHRAE

  • WELL Building Institute

  • U.S. Green Building Council

  • Allergy Standards Ltd

  • Airmid Healthgroup Ltd

  • Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America

  • UL Solutions

  • American Society of Interior Designers

  • Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security

This collective represents a powerful alliance working together to prioritize indoor air quality as a matter of public health policy.

A Shared Mission: Healthier Indoor Air

As a contract research organization specializing in environmental testing and bioaerosol science, Airmid Healthgroup brings scientific rigor and real-world evidence to the challenge of cleaner indoor air. Our work includes testing and validating air-cleaning technologies, filtration systems, building materials, and consumer products for their effectiveness in reducing exposure to airborne allergens, pollutants, and viruses.

Our endorsement of this policy roadmap reflects a long-standing commitment to prevention-first approaches that support healthier indoor environments.

We are also proud to be joined in this endorsement by our standards partner, Allergy Standards Ltd, the global certification body behind the Asthma & Allergy Friendly® Certification Program. Through their science-based standards, Allergy Standards Ltd plays a leading role in defining what healthier indoor products should look like backed by testing carried out in accredited laboratories, such as Airmid.

Looking Forward

We look forward to the next meeting of the Clean Indoor Air Coalition and to contributing our expertise as federal and state governments begin to implement these evidence-based recommendations.
