ISO 21149:2009 Test Description
- Sample Analysis: Cosmetic samples are prepared and colonies are cultured on non-selective agar plates.
- Incubation Period: The samples are incubated aerobically at a temperature of 32.5°C ± 2.5°C for 72 ± 6 hours.
- Colony Enumeration: After incubation, colonies of aerobic mesophilic bacteria are counted, and the number of bacteria per millilitre or gram of the product is calculated.
