Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and ISO 17025 at Airmid Healthgroup
Airmid Healthgroup is ISO 17025-accredited for house dust mite allergen (Der p1) and cat allergen (Fel d1) ELISA testing. (ISO/IEC 17025:2017 INAB accredited testing laboratory Reg. no. 284T).
In addition to performing tests compliant to ISO 17025, Airmid Healthgroup recently completed a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) study. The study evaluated the antimicrobial impact of a disinfectant against surface and airborne bacterial spores in one of their climate-controlled aerobiology test chambers. The study was carried out in compliance with US EPA Good Laboratory Practices. (40 CFR Part 160) The GLP study was overseen by Dr. Angela Southey, who acted as the Study Director.

Real-World Applications of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
The Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)Â study was designed to simulate real-world hospital cleaning scenarios, using a climate-controlled aerobiology test chamber to simulate and measure the effects of toilet flushing and cleaning. The test compared two experimental conditions, one using untreated toilet bowl water (Control Article) and one treated with a disinfectant (test article).
To ensure data integrity, the study incorporated multiple quality audits conducted by an independent Quality Assurance Unit (QAU). These audits were conducted at each phase of the project; planning, execution and reporting, with any findings promptly addressed.
The study shows not only the antimicrobial efficacy of the disinfectant in reducing airborne and surface-associated bacterial spores, but also the meticulous standards of quality, integrity, and transparency achieved through full GLP compliance.
