Throughout the day, sessions explored topics ranging from biopharma trends and Brexit’s regulatory implications to predictive maintenance and the future of additive manufacturing. As part of Airmid Healthgroup’s commitment to advancing public health through rigorous science, I was pleased to contribute to the conversation with a focus on microbiological standards, testing methodologies, and the role of validation in ensuring the safety and efficacy of medical technologies.

It was particularly exciting to hear about emerging areas like AI and VR applications in mental health, as well as next-generation materials for wound care and skin health. These developments highlight the growing importance of interdisciplinary research and collaboration in driving innovation forward.

I’d like to thank the organizers for bringing together such a wide-ranging and thought-provoking program. Events like this help us stay connected to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in medtech and biotech, reminding us that scientific integrity, rigorous testing, and patient-centred design remain the cornerstones of meaningful progress.
