Test Description

• • Bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus or Escherichia coli, are inoculated onto both test and control surfaces. Additional bacterial strains may also be used if necessary.

  • The samples are incubated for a specified period, after which any viable bacteria are recovered and counted.

  • The antibacterial effectiveness of the treated material is then assessed by calculating the inhibition of bacterial growth on its surface according to the criteria outlined in the relevant standard.
