This standard specifies test methods for determining the efficiency of chemically or physically treated textile products against house dust mites. The method used to count live mites depends on the kind of sample shape being tested.
Customer Benefit
Determines the efficiency of repellency, rate of suppression of house dust mite reproduction or the efficiency of preventing house dust mites passing through the fabric. The methods can be applied to bedding surface fabric, bed sheeting, bed covering, blanket, feather & down, wadding with a fiber content of cotton, wool or synthetic fiber and carpet.

On passing this test, the fabric can be labelled as having been tested by airmid in support of any claim relating to the test and data received.
