28.5 m³ Environmental Test Chambers
State of the art testing environments that allow for precise control of temperature, relative humidity, air quality and air change rates.
Our 28.5 m³ environmental test chambers have been built in accordance with ANSI/AHAM AC-1:2018, ASTM D6670, and GB18801-2015 standards. They are constructed from powder coated stainless steel with all materials complying with low VOC (volatile organic compound) emission requirements. Each chamber is accessed via a positive pressure anteroom, fitted with interlocking doors and comply with cleanroom standards.
The air change rate within the chambers can be controlled within a range of 0.5 to 20 Air Changes per Hour (ACH) and is provided by bespoke HEPA filtered supply and extract air handling units operating at variable speeds. Both the temperature and relative humidity within each chamber can be precisely controlled at a variety of air change rates.
Studies within our test chambers can be tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. In addition to varying the environmental parameters, we can install a variety of furniture or different floor types. Specialist monitoring and sampling equipment allow us to measure the concentrations of a range of different contaminants both in the air and on surfaces, for viruses, bacteria, mould, allergen, and VOCs.
Our test chambers are at the centre of our facility and are surrounded by our molecular biology, microbiology, mycology, virology, and allergen laboratories, allowing air and surface samples generated in our chamber studies to be rapidly processed and analysed.
