To investigate whether bed bugs are able to penetrate through a test fabric to allow feeding
Test Description
All bed bug testing is performed in a specially designed chamber where both temperature and relative humidity are controlled.
Bed bugs at different life cycle stages are placed into the bed bug artificial feeder with either the test fabric or a control fabric positioned across the feeder opening. Over a set period of time their feeding behaviour is monitored and their ability to feed through the fabric is determined.
