ELISA and multichannel pipetteWe are setting up an Interlaboratory Comparison (ILC) for the quantification of Influenza A nucleoprotein. ILCs measure the ability of a lab to deliver accurate results and are an important part of quality assurance programs. Participating in an ILC or Proficiency Testing (PT) scheme is one of the criteria necessary to gain ISO 17025 accreditation for a particular testing method. As there is no PT scheme available for Influenza A nucleoprotein quantification, we are setting up an ILC.

The goal of the present ILC is to exchange results from the analysis of the same samples among a number of different labs. Once a year each participating lab will receive three samples shipped by airmid healthgroup. For sample quantification the lab should use the Influenza A NCP ELISA kit together with the Influenza A Antigen Calibration kit, each from Virusys Corporation. The results should then be submitted to airmid healthgroup. When all of the results have been received, we will issue a summary report of the compiled data to each of the participating labs. The results will be anonymous. All of the labs will be assigned a code and each lab will only know its own code.

If you use the Influenza A NCP ELISA kit together with the Influenza A Antigen Calibration kit from Virusys Corporation and are interested in participting then we would love to hear from you. Please contact Mariarita Arenella at +353 1 633 6820 or marenella @
