airmid healthgroup textile and biomedical research representatives will be attending Heimtextil in Frankfurt, Germany from 9 to 12 January 2013.

Heimtextil

Heimtextil is the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles and the global benchmark for quality design textiles of innovative functionality. It is the textile industry's first major marketing and ordering date of the year and showcases the most up to date innovations and consumer trends. airmid look forward to discussing biomedical and indoor aerobiology issues with International exhibitors that will be showing off their product to trade visitors.

There are a wide range of health related claims made on textile products, many of which are unsubstantiated or confusing to retailers and consumers. airmid healthgroup has unrivalled expertise in assessing health claims on textiles and can provide a comprehensive range of testing services, advice and guidance in this area. Whether it relates to allergen or bed bug barrier capabilities, repellency or antimicrobial properties of the new generation of "smart" textiles, airmid can provide a complete range of internationally recognised or proprietary testing methodologies which will provide the necessary scientific support to a claim. Furthermore, our experience in this area and ability to interpret data allows us to provide valuable advice in accordance with the latest technological advances or international guidelines.

With core expertise in preventing ill health due to indoor air pollutants, airmid scientists apply their skills to independently evaluate the design, efficacy and product claims on textile products. Based upon our scientific data, manufacturers can provide their customers solutions and advice on how their products may further contribute to healthy indoor living.

With newly commissioned microbiology testing services, including the Microbial Strikethrough Test, contract research facilities and Environmental Test Chamber capacity, we look forward to joining the discussion during Heimtextil on how textiles can impact on the quality of our lives and contribute to a healthy indoor environment.
