Background
Dr. McKeon graduated in medicine from Trinity College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. After completing his United States Medical Licensing examinations, he made the transition from clinical practice to entrepreneurship — founding Allergy Standards Ltd (ASL), an internationally recognised standards and certification body. As CEO, he has led ASL to develop a global portfolio of patents and build partnerships with multinational corporations including Procter & Gamble and 3M.
His work sits at the intersection of health science, product innovation, and built environment design — emphasising interdisciplinary collaboration and people-centric approaches to transforming indoor environments for healthier living.
Academic roles
Dr. McKeon is an Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Practice and Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneur in Residence at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Trinity College Dublin. He also lectures at Trinity College Business School and serves on the institution’s Knowledge Transfer & Innovation Committee.
Industry leadership & affiliations
A recognised authority in indoor air quality, Dr. McKeon is a member of the ASHRAE Environmental Health Committee and an Ambassador of the World Filtration Institute. He contributes to shaping healthier homes as a member of the National Association of Home Builders’ Healthy Home Subcommittee and serves on the ISIAQ Innovation Task Force. He is also a board member of the Irish Research & Development Group (IRDG) and has spoken at BOMA and numerous international IAQ conferences.
