The asthma & allergy friendly® Certification Program is administered by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) & the Asthma Society of Canada. Working in partnership with the international standards and certification body Allergy Standards Limited (ASL), these independent programs were created to scientifically test and identify consumer products that are more suitable for people with asthma and allergies.

What is the value of Certification?

As a program member, you will have the right to use the Certification Mark on your product, packaging, collateral, advertising, marketing and more. Along with the Certification Mark, you will be legally entitled to use the phrase asthma & allergy friendly® in association with your product.


What products can be Certified?

A number of asthma & allergy friendly® Certification Standards have been developed for a wide variety of consumer products and services.

How can airmid healthgroup help you get your product Certified?

airmid healthgroup is the designated testing laboratory for the asthma & allergy friendly® Certification Program. All data used for the Certification process is produced by third party testing laboratories to ensure impartiality and confidence in the product Certified.

If a standard for your product category does not already exist, airmid healthgroup can consult with you to determine if your product would be suitable for Certification. A decision can then be made on the development of a new standard to be added to the program. Standards are not adopted until they have been reviewed by the medical board of the not-for-profit partner organisation and their panel of external experts.
