Research Innovation Conference and National Health ExpoThe Research & Innovation Conference & Exhibition was held earlier this week. It was a busy day, especially as this year the conference was co-located with the inaugural National Health Expo. Each of the events had a main stage and several seminar rooms where talks were held throughout the day. With a line-up of over 100 speakers it’s an event worth attending as a team, because so many interesting talks were on simultaneously!

2016 American Academy of Allergy Asthma Immunology ConferenceEarlier this month some of our team travelled to LA to present our latest bed bug research at the 2016 AAAAI Conference. The conference is the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. We were delighted to continue the tradition of presenting at this prestigious gathering of experts. This year the conference was held in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

2016 Research and Innovation Conference and ExhibitionOn the 3rd of March we attended the Research and Innovation Conference and Exhibition in Croke Park. It was a day packed with talks from leaders in research and innovation from the top industries in Ireland.

For Life and BreathThe Asthma Society of Canada held the inaugural “For Life and Breath” summit in Toronto on the 30th April and 1st May. The event focused on the impact the environment is having on asthma and respiratory allergies in Canada and brought together leaders from government, industry, academia and the not for profit sector to discuss the issue.

Irish Fungal Meeting

airmid healthgroup was delighted to attend the Irish Fungal Meeting which was held in NUI Maynooth on the 20th and 21st of June 2013. At the conference, an impressive collection of national and international delegates from academia and industry presented research in the fast developing area of fungal biology.

As a former postgraduate of NUI Galway, Noelle Dromgoole was delighted to attend the conference "Occupational Health and Safety: A Pioneering Past and a Bright Future" on the 14th and 15th June 2013. The conference celebrated 21 years of Occupational Health and Safety postgraduate study at NUI Galway and the achievements of postgraduates. In addition the conference reviewed current developments and challenges within Occupational Health and Safety across all industries.

Occupational Hygiene Society of IrelandDr. Bruce Mitchell, CEO of airmid healthgroup, was delighted to present a talk entitled “Exposure to Indoor Air Contaminants in the Workplace” at the 22nd Annual Occupational Hygiene Society of Ireland conference held in Co. Limerick. In his talk Dr Mitchell addressed many of the key elements that need to be taken into account to ensure the quality of indoor air in offices.

AAAAI floor sign overhead smaller file sizeThe American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) is a professional organization, with nearly 7000 members in over 60 countries, that represents those focused on the research and treatment of allergic disease. 

The 2013 AAAAI annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas (February 22nd-26th) provided a world-class educational and scientific program. Researchers from around the world presented more than 800 abstracts covering a wide range of asthma/immunology topics.

The 2012 Annual Meeting of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) concluded today having run from November 8th-13th in Anaheim, California. The meeting offered an exciting array of educational sessions for physicians and allied health professionals, as well as some fantastic social events.

Last month airmid attended the 2012 Annual General Meeting of the European Feather and Down Association in Dublin. The purpose of the association is to promote the interests of the European members of the bedfeather and feather-filling industry and their suppliers. In addition, it pursues the targets of making a contribution towards promoting fair business dealings and transactions, of informing its members of European quality regulations, and of encouraging the compliance with such regulations.

The 11th World Filtration Congress starts today and will embrace the whole spectrum of filtration and separation technologies from around the world for five days from 16th- 20th April 2012. It will be held in Graz, a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is the largest and most important Filtration Event in 2012 world-wide. Exhibitors from the world-wide filtration and separation industry, manufacturers of particle measurement instruments as well as related industries will feature the latest innovations and technology. airmid healthgroup will be there joining the debate on Airborne Infectious Agents, Aerobiology Research and Ultrafine particles. 

It’s that time of year again and Orlando Florida hosts the American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI) Annual Meeting this year from March 2-6. The AAAAI Annual Meeting draws the allergy and immunology specialty's academic and clinical leaders to showcase new research and discuss other developments in allergy, asthma and immunologic diseases. The meeting is attended by more than 7,700 allergist/immunologists, related physicians, allied health professionals and industry representatives.
